DEMCO CEO and General Manager

Jeff Kilpatrick

Jeff Kilpatrick joined DEMCO on December 1, 2006 as the CEO and General Manager. He has recently served as CEO of Washington-St.Tammany Electric Cooperative since 2001. Having spent his entire career in the electric cooperative arena in Texas and Louisiana, he is ready for the new opportunity at DEMCO.

Kilpatrick, a 1976 Covington High School graduate and a 1981 LSU graduate, "came home" in 2001 after spending 19 highly productive years in management at Sam Houston Electric Cooperative in Livingston, Texas.

"My wife is from the Baton Rouge area and I am a graduate of LSU. It goes without saying that we are very excited about moving back into this area," Kilpatrick said.

"I look forward to leading DEMCO and its members' for many years to come. I have an extensive knowledge of the cooperative principles, engineering and most importantly have had the unfortunate experience of operating a cooperative that was pounded by Hurricane Katrina. This and many other experiences will provide the skills and leadership necessary to continue the DEMCO tradition of being one of the best Cooperatives in the country!"
