Ann Samuel

Ann Samuel was appointed to the Board of Directors in August 2005 to fill the unexpired term of her husband, T.N. "Sonny" Samuel. Mr. Samuel had been involved in DEMCO operations for more than 49 years.

Ann served as the church secretary at Plains Presbyterian Church in Zachary for 20 years until 1979 while also being a full-time homemaker and parent. Having been a wife of a DEMCO employee and DEMCO board member for 49 years, she has learned the cooperative principles and business strategy through affiliation. Ann is currently taking part in the normal training courses available to new Co-op directors.

Ann represents the northwestern part of East Baton Rouge Parish including Baker and Zachary. District 2 is located south of East Feliciana Parish, east of the Mississippi River, north of Harding Boulevard, and west of Plank Road, Blackwater Road and Rheames Road.  She serves proudly on the Purchasing Committee and the Rate Committee.
