2007 Right-of-Way Improvement Plan

In order to provide the safe and reliable service to new and existing customers, DEMCO is spending more than $3.8 million in mechanical maintenance and selective herbicide spraying. This process involves the trimming and selective herbicide maintenance of 2,674 miles of line during 2007.

The following service areas are part of this years plan:
Mechanical Maintenance and Selective Herbicide Spraying for 2007 will be completed in the following areas:

Ascension Parish
This area will focus primarily on herbicide spraying that includes:

1. Walls Crossing Substation - all circuits in Galvez, St. Amant and Prairieville which includes- Hwy 931, Hwy 431, Hwy 44, Norwood Rd., Gold Place Rd., Hwy 933 and Henderson Bayou Rd.
2. Head-of-Island Substation - East and South circuits which include Hwy 22, Hwy 936, Hwy 937, and Old River Rd.

East Baton Rouge Parish
The following circuits will be maintained through selective herbicide spraying:

1. Pride Substation - West and South circuit in Pride-Baywood area, Jackson Rd., Reames Rd., Milldale Rd, Liberty Rd., Chaney Rd., Peairs Rd., Stubb Rd.
2. Terrell Rd. Substation - all circuits which include- George O'neal, East & West Achord Rd., Tiger Bend Rd., Phillip Ln.
3. Vignes Substation - all circuits which include- Elliott Rd., Vignes Rd., Womack Rd., Hoo-Shoo-Too Rd.
4. Harrell's Ferry Substation - all circuits which include- Harris Rd., Harrell's Ferry Rd., O'neal Ln., and parts of Livingston Parish / Denham Springs that cross the Amite River- 4-H club Rd., Hwy 16.
5. Greenwell Springs Substation - South and West circuits which include the Central area, Frenchtown Rd., Planchet Rd., Thibodeaux Rd., Lovett Rd., and Joor Rd.
6. Greenwell Springs Substation - East and North circuits which include the Central and Livingston Parish areas, Droze Rd. Bellingrath Subdivision, Morgan Rd., Wax Rd., Greenwell Springs Rd., Magnolia Beach Rd., Linda Lee Dr., and Amite Church Rd.
7. Flannery Rd. Substation - all circuits which include Flannery Rd., Rushmore Dr., S.Choctaw Dr. Ext, Monticello area.
8. Dyer Rd Substation - all circuits in B.R and Zachary including Dyer Rd., McCollough Rd., Blackwater Rd., Joor Rd., Groom Rd., Sunshine Rd., Hwy 67 through Baker (North & South), Rolling Acres Ave, Bently Dr., Pettit Rd., Brown Heights.

East Feliciana Parish
The following circuits will be mechanically trimmed and selective herbicide sprayed throughout the year:

1. Clinton North Circuit -  Clinton-Wilson Rd., Hwy. 19, Thompson Creek Rd., Hwy. 952
2. Clinton Northeast Circuit - Hwy. 67, Hwy. 10, Hwy. 63, Hwy. 961, Hwy. 432

St. Helena Parish
The following circuits will be mechanically trimmed and selective herbicide sprayed throughout the year:

1. Darlington North and East Circuit - Hwy. 10, Hwy. 38, Hwy. 432, Hwy. 1041,
   Gilead Rd.
2. Greensburg West Circuit - Hwy. 10, Hwy. 1042, Museum Rd.
   Pine Grove North and East Circuit: Hwy. 16, Hwy. 43, Hwy. 1036, Hwy. 441

West Feliciana Parish
The following circuits will be mechanically trimmed and selective herbicide sprayed throughout the year:

1. Bains East Circuit - Bains Ristroff Rd., Hwy. 10, Hwy. 421, Jones Vaughn Creek Rd., Woodville-Jackson Rd., Hwy. 965, Hwy. 966, Peterson Rd.

Livingston Parish
The following circuits will be mechanically trimmed and selective herbicide sprayed throughout the year:

1. Watson East Circuit - Springfield Rd., Hwy. 447 North, Cane Market Rd., Courtney Rd., Varnado Rd., Friendship Rd., Galloway Gardens Rd., Mack Rd.
2. Whitehall North Circuit - Hwy. 444, Hwy. 22, River Pines Subdivision, Terry Harbor
   Whitehall East and West Circuits: Hwy. 22, Bear Island Rd., Lower Rome Rd., Carthage Bluff Rd., Tiger Bluff Rd.
