2007 Right-Of-Way Program Begins

In a continuing effort to bring service reliability to the highest attainable level, DEMCO will continue with an aggressive right-of-way clearing and re-trimming program again in 2007. This will be accomplished by removing weakened and damaged trees and overhanging tree limbs that may interfere with electric service.

DEMCO's right-of-way maintenance program is needed to ensure public safety, protect our power lines from damage and maintain a continuous flow of electricity to our customers. Right-of-way maintenance work includes the pruning of trees near our power lines, removal of brush under the conductors and the removal of dead or other hazard trees that may fall on our lines.

Please feel free to contact a representative of the DEMCO Forestry Group at (225)654-9356 or (225) 261-1221 if you have any questions or via email at: samr@demco.org.
