Each year at the co-op annual meeting, DEMCO awards scholarships to DEMCO members via random drawing. Deadline is May 6, 2024.
One-year academic scholarships to DEMCO-member students who are attending, or plan to attend, a Louisiana public college or university are awarded each year in a random drawing at the DEMCO annual membership meeting. Each year hundreds of applications for the annual scholarship drawing are received by DEMCO.
The scholarships awarded by DEMCO provide $2,500 to DEMCO member-students attending a Louisiana public college or university to help with academic tuition. Recipient students are eligible for an award of $1,250 for each of two consecutive semesters.
DEMCO is allowed to use unclaimed deposits, refunds, and other money owed to former members to provide funding for the scholarship program.
